It achieved a price of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,522.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Wyeth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the fair, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,088.88).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Sir Winston Churchill; Portrait of Harry Wheatcroft the rose grower; and three portraits of gentlemen von Paul Wyeth kam im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.075,50 (€ 1.522,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Wyeth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At the fair beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.088,88) versteigert wurde.
