Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Fisherman, Gaspé by Paul Strand. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 320.00 (€ 302.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Strand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 783,750.00 (€ 595,192.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fisherman, Gaspé von Paul Strand zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 320,00 (€ 302,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Strand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 783.750,00 (€ 595.192,89).
