Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Halt For Food by Paul Sample was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2005. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,975.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sample achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good Farming--Good Living in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 164,079.52).

Die Arbeit Halt For Food von Paul Sample wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.975,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sample erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good Farming--Good Living im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 241.000,00 (€ 164.079,52).
