Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Halt For Food by Paul Sample was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2005. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,975.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sample achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good Farming--Good Living in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 164,079.52).
