Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Turntable by Paul Sample for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,039.42). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sample achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good Farming--Good Living in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 164,079.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Turntable von Paul Sample für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.039,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sample erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good Farming--Good Living im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 241.000,00 (€ 164.079,52).
