The work The horse race by Paul Sample was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in August 2010. The result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,180.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sample achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good Farming--Good Living in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 164,079.52).

Die Arbeit The horse race von Paul Sample wurde im August 2010 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.180,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sample erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good Farming--Good Living im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 241.000,00 (€ 164.079,52).
