Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Sample could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work A New England Town changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,438.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sample achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Good Farming--Good Living in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 164,079.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Sample konnte im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit A New England Town für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.438,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sample erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Good Farming--Good Living im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 241.000,00 (€ 164.079,52).
