Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Christies in Paris held the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve, which included the work Figures by a waterfall, with a castle and a river estuary beyond by Paul Sandby. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,230.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sandby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sandby'S Views Of North Wales in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 301,931.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures by a waterfall, with a castle and a river estuary beyond von Paul Sandby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.230,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sandby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sandby'S Views Of North Wales im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 301.931,72).
