Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Sandby achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A cottage by a quarry sold for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,627.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sandby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sandby'S Views Of North Wales in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 301,931.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Sandby erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit A cottage by a quarry für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.627,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sandby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sandby'S Views Of North Wales im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 301.931,72).
