Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paul P. (B. 1977) by Paul P. was sold in the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,713.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul P. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,467.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paul P. (B. 1977) von Paul P. wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.713,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul P. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.467,95) versteigert wurde.
