Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2008 Phillips in New York held the auction MOCA Benefit Art Auction, which included the work Ornamental Gateposts View 2 by Paul Noble. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 12,853.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Noble have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nobsend in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 86,163.95).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2008 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion MOCA Benefit Art Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ornamental Gateposts View 2 von Paul Noble zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 12.853,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Noble auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nobsend im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 86.163,95).
