In June 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle, which included the work Lavandières Au Bord D'Une Rivière by Paul Lecomte. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,360.00 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Lecomte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,000.00 (€ 24,158.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lavandières Au Bord D'Une Rivière von Paul Lecomte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.360,00 und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Lecomte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French A Spring Morning At The Château-Gaillard im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.000,00 (€ 24.158,13).
