This artwork by Paul Kallos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,686.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Kallos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Menines, 1961, which sold at auction in June 2009 for EUR 5,738.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Kallos erzielte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living With Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.686,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Kallos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Menines, 1961 beobachtet, die im Juni 2009 für EUR 5.738,00 versteigert wurde.
