This artwork by Paul Jones achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2013. In the Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work The approach; and A successful hunt sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,910.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,946.47).

In der Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art wurde die Arbeit The approach; and A successful hunt für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.910,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.946,47) versteigert wurde.
