The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,029.46), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,946.47).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.029,46) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.946,47) versteigert wurde.
