Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, including Property from the Collection of, which included the work The Empire State Building from Altman's by Paul J. Woolf. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,880.00 (€ 2,215.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul J. Woolf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Views Of Manhattan: Five Works, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,719.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs, including Property from the Collection of durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Empire State Building from Altman's von Paul J. Woolf zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.880,00 (€ 2.215,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul J. Woolf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Views Of Manhattan: Five Works beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.719,23) versteigert wurde.
