In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work La Famille by Paul Guiragossian. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 76,600.00 (€ 88,762.74), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Guiragossian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Lutte De L'Existence in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 445,049.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Famille von Paul Guiragossian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 76.600,00 (€ 88.762,74) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Guiragossian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Lutte De L'Existence im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 445.049,29).
