In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work Summer Evening In Kensington Gardens by Paul Fordyce Maitland. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,789.76), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Fordyce Maitland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Row In August in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 41,210.20).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art; Maritime Art; Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Evening In Kensington Gardens von Paul Fordyce Maitland zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.789,76) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Fordyce Maitland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Row In August im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 41.210,20).
