Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fields Near Exmoor by Paul Fordyce Maitland was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,450.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Fordyce Maitland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Row In August in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 41,210.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fields Near Exmoor von Paul Fordyce Maitland wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.450,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Fordyce Maitland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Row In August im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 41.210,20).
