Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Colorful Sea by Paul Dougherty was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. It achieved a price of USD 5,760.00 (€ 5,314.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. Admittedly, works by Paul Dougherty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Majestic Coast in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 37,341.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Colorful Sea von Paul Dougherty wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.760,00 (€ 5.314,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Dougherty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Majestic Coast im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 37.341,10).
