Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crashing Surf by Paul Dougherty was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,388.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Dougherty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Majestic Coast in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 37,341.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Crashing Surf von Paul Dougherty wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.388,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Dougherty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Majestic Coast im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 37.341,10).
