Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Dougherty could be acquired at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work A Calm Cove changed hands for USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,581.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Dougherty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Majestic Coast in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 37,341.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Dougherty konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit A Calm Cove für USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.581,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Dougherty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Majestic Coast im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 37.341,10).
