Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Equinoctial Gale by Paul Dougherty was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 7,907.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Dougherty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Majestic Coast in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 37,341.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Equinoctial Gale von Paul Dougherty kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 7.907,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Dougherty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Majestic Coast im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 37.341,10).
