In November 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Cove (Pebble Beach) by Paul Dougherty. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,342.52), 66% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Dougherty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Majestic Coast in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 37,341.10).

Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cove (Pebble Beach) von Paul Dougherty zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.342,52) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Dougherty auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Majestic Coast im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 37.341,10).
