Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Two works: (i-ii) Untitled by Paul Cowan for GBP 688.00 (€ 783.56). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Paul Cowan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bceause The Sky Is Blue in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,680.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two works: (i-ii) Untitled von Paul Cowan für GBP 688,00 (€ 783,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Cowan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bceause The Sky Is Blue im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.680,74).
