Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Seeing Out Of The BoxConceptual Photographs Online, which included the work Two Portraits 2 by Paul Citroen. The price achieved of USD 5,075.00 (€ 4,330.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Citroen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 36,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Seeing Out Of The BoxConceptual Photographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Portraits 2 von Paul Citroen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.075,00 (€ 4.330,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Citroen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.250,00.
