Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme allaitant son enfant by Paul Cézanne was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Sydney in November this year. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 462,046.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cézanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Montagne Sainte-Victoire in November last year with an auction result of USD 137,790,000.00 (€ 133,478,639.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme allaitant son enfant von Paul Cézanne wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 462.046,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cézanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Montagne Sainte-Victoire im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.790.000,00 (€ 133.478.639,93).
