Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2006 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle, which included the work La Toilette de Vénus by Paul Baudry. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 14,400.00 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Baudry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le petit Saint Jean in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 115,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Anciens et du XIXè Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Toilette de Vénus von Paul Baudry zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 14.400,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Baudry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le petit Saint Jean im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 115.000,00.
