In April 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work View Of Greenwich, From Charlton Wood, Near Woolwich by Patrick Nasmyth. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,785.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Patrick Nasmyth have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2010 the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire was auctioned for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).
