Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures in a forest clearing; and a companion painting by Patrick Nasmyth for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,176.87). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Nasmyth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures in a forest clearing; and a companion painting von Patrick Nasmyth für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.176,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Nasmyth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view near Woburn, Bedfordshire im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 43.083,58).
