Auction result misses estimated price range

In the The Quillan Collection of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Photographs auction, the work 'Ma Mère, Paris' changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,219.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Faigenbaum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Famille Caracciolo di Melissano, Naples, 1991, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 11,875.00.
