Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Harbour With First Stars by Patrick Collins. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,392.50), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 5 Belvedere Place in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,952.87).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Harbour With First Stars von Patrick Collins zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.392,50) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 5 Belvedere Place im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 72.000,00 (€ 105.952,87).
