Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Beyond The Bog by Patrick Collins for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,858.14). This price was achieved in the auction Post War and Contemporary Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Collins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 5 Belvedere Place, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 72,000.00 (€ 105,952.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Beyond The Bog von Patrick Collins für GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.858,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Collins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 5 Belvedere Place beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 72.000,00 (€ 105.952,87) versteigert wurde.
