Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall Plates by Patrick Caulfield was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,367.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wall Plates von Patrick Caulfield kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.367,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
