The work Brown Pot by Patrick Caulfield was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,151.48), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).

Die Arbeit Brown Pot von Patrick Caulfield wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.151,48) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
