Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Allegory of Faith by Paris Bordone was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 40,555.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paris Bordone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Believed To Be Of The Fugger Family, Standing Three-Quarter Length Within A Palace Interior, Wearing A Crimson Satin Dress And Holding A Prayer-Book In Her Right Hand in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 914,850.00 (€ 1,162,327.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Allegory of Faith von Paris Bordone kam im Januar 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 40.555,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paris Bordone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Believed To Be Of The Fugger Family, Standing Three-Quarter Length Within A Palace Interior, Wearing A Crimson Satin Dress And Holding A Prayer-Book In Her Right Hand im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 914.850,00 (€ 1.162.327,22).
