Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paramjit Singh was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2008. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,960.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paramjit Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Distant Plains', which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paramjit Singh wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.960,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20) versteigert wurde.
