Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paramjit Singh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art including Indian Miniature Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in June 2012. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,512.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paramjit Singh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paramjit Singh wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art including Indian Miniature Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.512,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
