Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paramjit Singh was sold in the South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2010. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,785.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paramjit Singh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paramjit Singh wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.785,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
