Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Indian Art, which included this untitled work by Paramjit Singh. The price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,498.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paramjit Singh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Distant Plains' in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Indian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paramjit Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.498,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20).
