Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Painting In Green) by Paramjit Singh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,516.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paramjit Singh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Distant Plains', which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,508.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Painting In Green) von Paramjit Singh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.516,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paramjit Singh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Distant Plains' beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.508,20) versteigert wurde.
