Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sarajevo by Paolo Pellegrin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,296.83). Admittedly, works by Paolo Pellegrin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traces of war, 2001-2005 in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sarajevo von Paolo Pellegrin im März 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 938,00 (€ 1.296,83) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Pellegrin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traces of war, 2001-2005 im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
