Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna And Child, Surrounded By Cherubim by Paolo Farinati was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,557.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paolo Farinati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ecce Homo in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Madonna And Child, Surrounded By Cherubim von Paolo Farinati kam im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.557,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ecce Homo im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67).
