In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds by Paolo Farinati. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,107.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Farinati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ecce Homo in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).

Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis

Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds von Paolo Farinati zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.107,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ecce Homo im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67).
