Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Barbara with Saint Anthony Abbot and Saint Roch by Paolo Farinati was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Drawings including Works on Paper auction at Christies in New York in January 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,120.00 (€ 17,804.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paolo Farinati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ecce Homo in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,049.67).

Die Arbeit Saint Barbara with Saint Anthony Abbot and Saint Roch von Paolo Farinati wurde im Januar 2003 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Drawings including Works on Paper bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 17.804,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paolo Farinati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ecce Homo im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.049,67).
