This artwork by Pan Yuliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Yellow Flowers in a Vase sold for HKD 5,000,000.00 (€ 566,354.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pan Yuliang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lady Bathers At The Seashore, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 17,400,000.00 (€ 1,988,794.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pan Yuliang erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Yellow Flowers in a Vase für HKD 5.000.000,00 (€ 566.354,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pan Yuliang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lady Bathers At The Seashore beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 17.400.000,00 (€ 1.988.794,26) versteigert wurde.
