Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pan Yuliang could be acquired at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Seated Nude(Painted Approximately In 1940 - 1945) changed hands for HKD 11,650,000.00 (€ 1,321,882.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 12,000,000.00 – 25,000,000.00. Other works by Pan Yuliang have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2019 by the work Lady Bathers At The Seashore at HKD 17,400,000.00 (€ 1,988,794.26).
