Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Is Coming by Pacita Abad was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,211.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pacita Abad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orange Punch in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,112.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Is Coming von Pacita Abad kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.211,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pacita Abad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orange Punch im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.112,47).
