Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pacita Abad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Nights Of Love sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 40,374.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 160,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pacita Abad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Orange Punch sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,112.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pacita Abad erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Nights Of Love für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 40.374,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 160.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pacita Abad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Orange Punch im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.112,47).
