In April this year Bonhams held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Central Australian Landscape by Otto Pareroultja. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 1,599.00 (€ 958.39), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Pareroultja achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ghost Gums in July 2009 with an auction result of AUD 32,400.00 (€ 18,343.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Central Australian Landscape von Otto Pareroultja zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 1.599,00 (€ 958,39) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Pareroultja erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ghost Gums im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 32.400,00 (€ 18.343,65).
