In February 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration, which included the work A gum tree in an Australian landscape by Otto Pareroultja. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 765.00 (€ 882.28), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Pareroultja achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ghost Gums in July 2009 with an auction result of AUD 32,400.00 (€ 18,343.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Travel & Exploration durch, in der auch die Arbeit A gum tree in an Australian landscape von Otto Pareroultja zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 882,28) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Pareroultja erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ghost Gums im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 32.400,00 (€ 18.343,65).
